Death at a Scottish Wedding

In Death at a Scottish Wedding, author Lucy Connelly returns us to Sea Isle, Scotland, where American transplant Dr. Emilia McRoy has settled in as town doctor (which she expected) and coroner (surprise!). This second volume in the Scottish Isle mystery centers around a wedding at Morrigan’s Castle, owned by Constable Ewan Campbell.

When a snowstorm traps the guests, and a man is found dead in a turret, Emilia encounters one obstacle after another to uncover the identity of the victim and the killer. Setting the story in a snowbound castle increases the intrigue and turns the story into a closed-door mystery. I felt like I was right there in the blizzard along with them.

Death at a Scottish Wedding is a cozy read with a wintry setting, and it’s fun to watch Emilia become less of a fish out of water in each installment.

I received this Advanced Reader Copy of Death at a Scottish Wedding from Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
