The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a surprisingly fun read, considering heartwarming isn’t usually my jam and there was a thread of grief and loss woven throughout. The characters were well-differentiated and interesting — I really wanted to learn what they were about. They learned you never know where you’ll find a friend and it’s never too late to make amends or make a change. The pacing was pretty slow, but that’s okay. The story needed to take its time unfurling.
