NaNoWriMo begins tomorrow, November 1. The goal of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is to power your way through to completing a 50,000 word Novel. That’s about 1500 to 2000 words per day, which is a lot, but the idea is to really put everything else aside and just push through without stopping.

Fifty thousand words is a little light for a novel, the average being 70-100k, but it’s enough to get a substantial start. Once participants begin the editing process, AFTER November, they will probably find enough areas that need to be fleshed out that should get the November novels up to full length.

I start out trying to participate most years, but November tends to be a dreadfully busy month, so I’ve never gotten all the way to 50k but just the added focus is enough for me to get a lot done.

I’ll post here on what I am writing, but I will also post links, etc with ideas and tips that I find around the internet.
